Dates: Feb 20st to 27th is a Learn-To-Kite-Week open to all beginners and experts alike. Our second week, Feb 27th to March 6th, is called the "Ocen, Lake and River" package and is a travel adventure week through out Costa Rica. Come for one week or both, it will be your defining days of your year!
Costs: Lesson Week Package $1620 plus applicable taxes of 13% per person for 7 nights/ 8 days
If additional person is a non-kiter, the cost is $1,150 plus 13% taxes. The Ocen, Lake and River package for Week Two is $1980 per person per week, plus applicable 13% tax. Non-kiter person is $1,395 plus 13% tax. (Additional discounts for groups and multi-week stays)
Includes: 5 days of instruction (3 hrs per day) and 8 days at Recreo.

WEEK ONE - Learn to Kiteboard: Location: Bahia Salinas is the largest bay in Northern Costa Rica. Day OneSaturday, Feb 20th: Your adventure begins the moment you arrive in Costa Rica. Your driver will greet you at the airport holding a sign with your name on it, assist you with your luggage, provide you with cold, refreshing beverages, and bring you to Recreo. Upon arriving at Recreo, Ricardo will greet you at the Villa, introduce you to the chef and housekeeper, show you where everything is located, and get you settled in. Enjoy the balance of your day exploring your surroundings.
Day TwoSunday, Feb 21st: Hit the Wind! Visit the fantastic kitesurfing spot called Playa Papaturro: it is located in Bolanos Bay with warm water, warm wind and sailing conditions from flat water to chop to waves. Bolanos Bay is a hidden gem for the beginner or more advanced kite boarder. Around this bay there are beautiful and little known beaches perfect for snorkeling after your kite boarding session. The bay is also home to an island (Isla Bolanos) with a white sand beach and turquoise water, a famous and protected nesting spot for birds. End the day at the Mountain Top (additional fee applies); a perfect destination to watch the sunrise and sunset, play cards, darts. A breathtaking panoramic view of the ocean, bays, and volcanoes greets you upon arrival.
Day Three Monday, February 22nd: Explore the Bay. After breakfast, hit the bay again but this time head out for a tour around the island and into the heart of the Bay. It will take you maybe an hour to complete the circumnavigation, more if you stop to swim in the crystal water along the way. Heading out to the south tip of the Bay and into the Pacific you will find great chop jumping and finally waves as you round the corner a couple miles away. Or you can head up the inside of the Bay and sail right along the beach off Nicaragua. Spend the rest of the day exploring Recreo. Visit the gym, play tennis, lounge around by the pool take the mountain bikes out for a spin and just enjoy Recreo.
Day Four - Adventure Take a break from kiteboarding, but not from adventure! Visit Hacienda Guachipelin (Rincon de la Vieja) for a full day of exciting activities. Relax at the Spa as you soak in the thermal hot springs and volcanic mud baths. Go horseback riding or hiking through the forest to see the waterfalls. Zip-line across the canopies, and float along the Rio Negro. Everyone can choose which activities they would like to participate in upon arrival.
Day Five - Back to the Wind! You can enjoy half mile of reef with completely flat water. Here it is common to kiteboard among giant turtles and pelicans. You have plenty of space to kiteboard surrounded by relatively untouched nature! Mid-afternoon play tennis, basketball, goes kayaking, lounge around by the pool, or go fishing. Unwind by having a private Spa Treatment pool side. End the day at the Mountain Top Cantina for a sunset toast.
Day Six - Kiteboard and Enjoy Recreo. Let our horses do all the work as you head over to the bay for another day of kiteboarding at one of the many fun spots in Bolanos Bay. Take a break and have lunch at Eco Playa on the beach. Ride the horses back to the resort and stop at the beaches along the way. Relax by the pool and have a massage or visit the Mountain Top Cantina to talk about the day s activities. Day Seven - Kiteboarding and Boating. Add to your beach experience by taking the boat out for a sunset tour after a full day of kiteboarding. Your private boat captain will take care of everything as you relax and enjoy the ride. An extra fee applies for the boat tour. See below. Day Eight - Returning Home. Spend the morning relaxing. Your personal chauffeur will greet you mid-morning to bring you to the airport and to assist you with your luggage and checking in to your flight.
Expenses Based on the described itinerary, the cost is $1620 per person (which does not include 13% Costa Rica sales tax) for 7 nights/8 day trip, which includes daily maid service and personal cook, access to all amenities at Recreo, such as the tennis courts, kayaks, horses, snorkeling, use of a private golf cart, The Mountain Top Cantina, fishing poles and much more. This vacation package also provides you with the food, beverages and top shelf alcohol of your choice. This vacation package also provides you with round trip transportation to and from the airport.

Airfare: There are two International Airports in Costa Rica, we recommend you choose the one in Liberia as this is the closest to the resort. Delta, American, and Continental Airlines have flights to Liberia, Costa Rica on a daily basis. Cost will average between $400 to $650 depending on the season.
